A resting place for mind, soul and spirit.
With today’s ever changing economy, a home doesn't
necessarily mean the house down the street built with wood
and stucco. It can be the apartment upstairs or a
manufactured home on rented land. For the less fortunate, it
may be a park bench, the shelter downtown, or just a space
under a bridge.
The idea of a home was supposed to mean security, stability,
comfort and freedom at the place were one lived. Today, it still
means that, it’s just now represented in a lot of non-traditional
places. Home is now also the job, church, school, nature
outdoors, a hospital room, even daycare at grandma’s house
is a home to someone.
Things have definitely changed for a lot of people. However,
the one thing that we all have in common is the need for a
place of belonging. Security, stability, comfort and freedom
are basic necessities longed for by our spirit. That’s just the
way God wired us. His design plan called for Him as our
dwelling place.
HE Is The Place ...
where our spirit belongs and is at home.
Scriptures to Reference:
- 2 Corinthians 5 verses 1-2
1. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were
dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with
hands, eternal in the heavens.
2. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon
with our house which is from heaven:
28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest.
29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and
lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
- Psalms 90 verse 1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all
generations.
