In spite of what you see, should you remain faithful?
Is the sacrifice worth it or
all for nothing?

A common challenge for a believer is to remain faithful to
Christ in spite of what you see.
For example ...
  • when you see the prosperity of non-believers and
    you're still struggling, -- or
  • when you don’t see immediate results from the
    sacrifices you’ve made, -- and
  • especially when you see failure and weakness
    in others.

  • Psalms 73 verses 2, 3, 12, 13, 16 & 17
    2.  But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well
    nigh slipped.
    3.  For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of
    the wicked.

    12.  Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they
    increase in riches.
    13.  Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my
    hands in innocency.

    16.  When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
    17.  Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I
    their end.

In spite of what you see, it’s not all for nothing.  Your
sacrifice has
meaning, it has value and it has a great
reward
, but you must remain faithful.
  • Faithful in attendance,
  • Faithful in reading and
  • Faithful in seeking for understanding.

Christ sacrificed His life for us.  Was it worth it?  -or-
Was it all for nothing?
