For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners
against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
-- Hebrews 12 verse 3 (Kings James Bible)
One of the many things that made the life of Jesus so
outstanding was that it did not contradict His Word. In
season and out, He was the same. His words, deeds,
motives and administration were all consistent with the
Word of God. Now consider what He endured as He
encountered others that outwardly appeared to have
the same spirit and agenda, yet inwardly in great
opposition and conflict with His. This being just one of
the many heart-breaking burdens He endured to the
cross, along with our sins.
So as not to become discouraged, consider that Jesus
also endured the pain and frustration of having to
tolerate disagreeable things without giving up. Look to
Him for the strength to follow the path that He already
trail blazed for us to do the same.
May His Word brighten your way and encourage your spirit.

For further study and inspiration:
1. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so
great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the
sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience
the race that is set before us,
2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for
the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners
against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
