For this is thankworthy,
if a man for conscience toward God endure grief,

Valuing God’s presence more highly than the

adversity

for doing right, that you willingly put up

with pain,

troubles, difficulties, hardships, etc.,

without complaint

or ill temper

...

For love of Him …
To be right with Him …
Because of being forgiven of Him … and
To keep His favor and His blessings flowing in
your life …

are

all expressions of gratitude and appreciation

that

God highly respects and continues to reward.
