Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into
the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord,
Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name
have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful
works?
-- Matthew 7 verses 21 & 22      (Kings James Bible)

Standing close enough to have a conversation with
Jesus on why He is denying them entry, and they chose
to use up valuable time highlighting their deeds done in
His name, but not their charity.  Something so important
and having eternal consequences, yet notice how they
do not mention or discuss their charity, the impartial love
    of other people.

Before going to the cross, Jesus was already teaching,
declaring and describing in detail the great confusion
people would have over what He requires to enter the
kingdom of Heaven.  With so much at stake, it is in no
ones best interest to suppose entry.  All sections of the
Father’s Will must be accounted for, not just the
highlighted portions.  Thank God for His grace and
mercy as Christ teaches us how to grow in Him.

May God’s Word brighten your way each day.

Review the impact of His sayings:
Matthew 7 verses 1-27

  • Note: Jesus replies with inference to injustice and sin.
Matthew 7 verse 23.  And then will I profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

  • Note:  Charity can not be omitted.
    1 Corinthians 13 verses 1-3.
    1.  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and
have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling
    cymbal.
    2.  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I
could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
    3.  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though
I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me
    nothing.
