And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a
man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and
besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me
clean. -- Luke 5 verse 12 (Kings James Bible)
Seeing is believing, when you see Jesus. This man had
one central focus, Jesus. Though others were around,
yet he did not focus on what they thought about his
condition, he saw Jesus as the one who could make him
clean. He saw the man, His character, and the
cleanliness of the Holy Spirit and desired the same. He
saw that Jesus had what he needed with the power to
give it to him. Full of leprosy, yet with the utmost
respect and genuine humility, he repeatedly and
desperately pleaded for Jesus to consider the matter.
As he asked, he received.
And he put forth his hand, and touched him,
saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately
the leprosy departed from him. -- Luke 5 verse 13
As we see Jesus, we too believe. As we see Him, so is
He able to resolve and touch every area of our life. In
spite of everything else, keep your eyes focused on
Jesus.
May God’s Word take root and flourish in your spirit each day.
