In the early days, Hopscotch was one of my favorite pastimes.
It was an activity that included others or that I could do by
myself. On the sidewalk in front of my house, I would outline
the pattern in chalk, preferable in color, and it would last for
days. All I needed was an object to cast into each square.
What made this so enjoyable for me was when I realized that I
could achieve the goals of the game.

Pitch my object inside the square where I want it to go.
Hop and balance over squares, without going out of
bounds, to pick it up.
Return to square one, with my object in hand, to
advance forward.

To advance forward in Christ, I started with the pattern God
designed before the foundation of the world.

Receive His Spirit
Conform to His Word
Grow and live by Faith in Him.

In his graciousness, knowing that all His children do not
progress and learn at the same pace, He does not forsake us
for missing the mark or falling out of bounds. He’s there to lift
us when we fall, strengthen us when we miss it and gives us
the opportunity to correct and learn from it all. He will position
us to return to square one to try again. He patiently waits for
us to advance in Him and we must do the same within
ourselves, one step, or one hop, at a time.
