Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the
father of many nations; according to that which was spoken,
So shall thy seed be. -- Romans 4 verse 18 (Kings James Bible)
Abraham accepted the word regarding his future as
true. Although many years had past, with both he and
his wife making mistakes in becoming impatient,
Abraham yet believed in the truthfulness of God. Still
unable to figure out how things would materialize and
time making their situation look hopeless, he moved his
attention off himself and focused his confidence and
trust towards God’s ability to bring it to pass. The
motivating factor and basis of his hope was that he
believed in the timeless history of God’s faithfulness to
the promises of His Word.
For the Almighty God, creator of Heaven, earth and the
seas does not need tangible matter or time as we do to
produce anything. God calls forth and it is done.
Though He uses time to test our patience, developing
our faith as we wait for it to manifest, time never cancels
out His Word. His Word is the foundation that produces
and creates the results of whatever He has decreed,
willed and purposed.
Without a doubt, everything else in life is subject to fail.
Hope in His Word, through faith, anchors the soul as
nothing else can.
May God’s Word fuel your hope in Him today.

18. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become
the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken,
So shall thy seed be.
19. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body
now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet
the deadness of Sara's womb:
20. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but
was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he
was able also to perform.
- Note: The lesson and message is relevant to us too.
22. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed
to him;
24. But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on
him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
